Get to Know Me…
Hi, I’m Dana Washington, and I’m so glad you’re here. I grew up in Maryland and served 12.5 years in the Army, an experience that solidified my resilience and dedication to serving others. Outside of my military service, I’ve always been a believer in helping people find their purpose and take meaningful steps toward fulfilling their potential.
I graduated from Wake Forest University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program in 2022 and am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). This means I practice under supervision as I continue to build and refine my skills to provide compassionate, effective care.
I believe in taking small, manageable steps to create steady, lasting change. My approach goes beyond talk therapy—I focus on actionable strategies to help you move forward and achieve balance in your life.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based methods to create a personalized plan that meets your unique needs and goals. These approaches include:
Behavioral Therapies (CBT, DBT, ABA)
Trauma-Focused Methods (EMDR, Trauma Therapy)
Mindfulness-Based Practices (MBCT, Gestalt)
Personal Growth Techniques (ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Coaching)
Client-Centered Approaches (Person-Centered, Multicultural, Strength-Based)
Let’s find your footing together.
